Hijos de Estévez collaborated in the lighting and accessories of José Tamayo’s Anthology of Zarzuela [traditional Spanish operetta]
The Anthology of Zarzuela of Mr. José Tamayo Rivas (1920-2003), which was played during years in the Theatre Nuevo Apolo of Madrid during the 80’s and the 90’s, counted with the collaboration of the artisans of Hijos de Estévez, who created lanterns and other complements used in the decoration of the show.
The lanterns were engraved by the hands of Pedro Fernández Gil, son of the founder, by personal request of Mr. José Tamayo, because they were united by art but also by childhood’s pranks; such lanterns traveled around the World enrolled in the show’s world tour of the Anthology of Zarzuela in 1988.
