Lighting of the Manuel de Falla Auditorium
e are gratefully pleased that our craft workshop Hijos de Estevez was chosen to produce the Granada lanterns which are today in charge of the lighting of this great architectural masterpiece in Granada, Designed and directed by the architect Mr. José María García de Paredes Barreda (Seville 1924 – Madrid 1990), reflected in the Manuel de Falla Auditorium, whose works began in 1974 and ended with the inauguration the 10th of June of 1978.
The original idea of the design had to be slightly redone after the tests of sound.
Unfortunately a fire in 1986 completely destroyed the two halls and the entire contents of the building that converge on the stage.
And again, our workshop made all lanterns, and this time with some minor remodeling, enabling an improvement in the emission of zenithal light for the correct vision of the scores.
